For forty years FC Internationale have used football and their club as a platform to promote social inclusion and acceptance. Formed during the uncertain times of Cold War Berlin in the 1980s, the club has always been a place where people from different backgrounds could come together in the name of football. Today in a progressive, multi cultural backdrop, the club’s message is stronger than ever – No Racism.
We take the time to have a fascinating discussion with FC Internationale Board Member, Oliver Stolz, – about the humble beginnings of the the club’s movement in West Berlin, the political task of maintaining the anti racism message over multiple decades and the hope that our youth offer for the future.
If you have a message like “No Racism” it becomes political. You can’t just put it on your shirts, you have to live it.Oliver StolZ – FC INTERNATIONALE Berlin
